Specialising in nutritional treatment, for kids to young adults, with anxiety, depression, concentration,
learning issues, fussy eating, eating disorders, low energy and sleep issues.
Why the Gut? How Does That Affect the Body and the Mind?
Many of the problems of anxiety, moodiness, concentration, poor sleep and muddled thinking can be exacerbated by the food we eat and the way our stomach is breaking that food down, absorbing into the body to then fuel the brain.
We also have lots of great and not-so-great stomach bacteria that are a pathway to the brain's function.
Getting the food right, the digestion right and the balanced bacteria right, can all help your child to function better every-day.
Overwhelmed? Don't worry - I'll start with small changes so it’s not overwhelming.
How Nutrition Can Help ?
I will take the time to get a full heath background on your child and then we will work together to make small nutritional changes and ensure your child has all the nutrients they need to help overcome their problem.
I will not overwhelm your child - we will work together at the pace that works for them.
How Long Will it Take?
Every one is different so there is no definitive time-frame. Many feel better after just a few days of getting the nutrients they need. We'll work together to understand what you child's ideal health look like, and we will get there together.
Sometimes kids have better results making small changes and seeing the difference and then we make more changes. It needs to be at their pace so that they believe in it and feel stronger taking control at their pace.
What Role do You as Parents Play?
I will need you to be there for the consultations so that you can help your child to remember what they eat and how they feel. We'll start with a 1 1/4 hour comprehensive health consultation to allow me to understand the whole picture.
I'll need you to encourage them gently to follow the plans we all agree on and highlight to them when you see that it's working. I'll need you to be their cheerleader, alongside me!
